I believe that in 50 years 95% of the cars will be driverless. I love the idea once the technology is worked out.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.

Maybe sooner
With google maps
I'm practically a human robot operating a car.
Tells me exactly what lane to be in if its 2 lane exit and the lane splits left right after the exit.
I love google maps.
Visiting cities I have never been before, sometimes I turn on the "avoid highways" function to get a better sense of the local area.
