Not really, that is what is usually polled. 1,000 or so seems to be the sample size they want, above that does not usually give much better results assuming the sample was representative. All they did is contact online instead of the phone. Big deal. The President is a fink. |

The point I was making is 1k national poll is meaningless Its much ado about nothing. 1k polls in Florida or any other battleground state means a lot more Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Not really 1k is a pretty good cross section. It's not ideal and the poll of polls methods are normally better, but it's a general standard. It is said that your life flashes before your eyes just before you die.... it's called Life |

Perhaps you need to take a college level course on statistics. Or just read the fine print on polls as to number of people polled. With the right cross-section 1,000 is fine and common. The President is a fink. |
