People may not know, but he tried to make his own car company, or at least be the face of it. Bunch of Arab Oil money was to back it. Ali3WC.
.

Wow, that's right. Mid 80's, it was a sports kit
car. They even had a factory announced on
the east coast, but I don't think a single car
was ever built.

The factory was an abandoned Volvo omnibus factory, in college the Volvo bus was a case study I was assigned and they sent us info, had some clippings of him touring the place.

It would have cost $35K in 1986,
which is over $100K in today's
money. It would have flopped
big time.

It was for export to rich Arabs who loved the guy. Any domestic sales would have been just some bonus money. I did not remember it being a kit but all I ever saw was a one or two paragraph in a car mag.

I saw a Fox tribute to Ali just now. I
had forgotten what a big mouth he
had. I'm this and I'm that. Holmes
says even the blacks didn't like him,
until he started win and say things like
'the Viet Cong aren't my enemy,
the white man is my enemy'. Then
they loved him.

This is so odd. It titled 10 Actors Who Died
On Set, yet only one of them actually did.

Should we add Charlie Manson to the list?
He's 81 and just married a girl 55 years
younger than him. There's a series on
NBC called Aquarius that's about the
Manson murders. The second season
starts this week, the first is on Nflix. It's
very good and stars David Duchovny
as a cop.

One of my favorite shows. ALF, what an actor.

At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.

Never saw a single ep of that show.
Or Mork and Mindy. Gimmick shows
never appeal to me. Never saw MacGyver
either. Or the one with the talking car.

You never saw an episode of, "My Mother The Car"?

Jerry Van Dyke was positively... pedestrian. Like what would happen if "Rodger Healy" from "I Dream of Jeannie" got his own spin off.
