And what would be wrong if this was the case? Open event, anyone could come. The President is a fink. |

It was a huge crowd a few months ago at the same Convention Center. A few months ago the rally was on a work day, Monday. Maximum capacity. Doors closed an hour early. Today, Saturday, I would expect a bigger crowd of Trump supporters but no. Tickets were ignored. They knew ahead of time a small crowd. Anybody could get in, no ticket needed. They never closed the doors. No lines like the last time. The number of protesters at this event was larger and better organized with printed large signs instead of a bunch of handmades. Huge police presence outside when the rally emptied. Absolutely no violence. A line of blue between the 2 groups. Some protesters and supporters tried to outflank the blue line , the blue line moved to keep both groups apart. Kind of funny because the Guardian Angels were there with absolutely nothing to do but twiddle their thumbs. I didn't take any videos of the protest because I did a live Periscope broadcast instead. Its probably still on the site. I think they keep stuff up 24 hrs. These rallys are really never advertised The 1st one I only found out that morning This one I knew a few days ahead of time Mostly White with a tiny sprinkle of blacks, Asians and hispanics I saw one real nicely dressed black couple that were probably Jewish. He had a nice jewish style cap and strings hanging from his belt Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Summer now, kids are out of school, primaries are over, the big crowds will disappear and come back in the fall. We all have election fatigue now, happens every election cycle. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

http://latinamericacurrentevents.com/tapachula-chiapas-mexico-58-percent-of-women-engaged-in-prostitution-are-from-guatemala-many-are-underaged/20787/ The level of violence on the Southern Border is extremely high. I saw a statistic on the estimated number of prostitutes in Tapachula, and it was huge. The article above says 58% are of the prostitutes are from Guatemala. The first ~40 miles goes from the ocean to the mountains, but the entire border is over 200 miles long. There is no wall, just a lot of violent gangs of men who prey on the illegal immigrants (and some federal troops). Most immigrants are trying to get to the USA, but if they are robbed along the way, many stay in Mexico. The combined population of the 171 US cities of size 150K and larger is 76.3 million as of mid 2015. Urban USA (which includes suburbs and small towns) has increased by 100 million from 1960 to 2010. Since the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 changed the way quotas were allocated by ending the National Origins Formula that had been in place in the United States since the Emergency Quota Act of 1921. Since then close to 40 million immigrants have entered legally, and combined with their children and grandchildren should total to 75-100 million. No sane person would argue that a nation has no right to control it's borders. I would argue that illegal immigration peaked 20 years ago. In the 1990's the urban population increased by 35 million, in the 2000's it increased by 27 million. I know that is a broad metric, but there are many other ones that show a decrease. One of which is plunging fertility rate in Mexico, and much better economic conditions there (and worse ones here). |

It's over till the conventions and this coming Fall. After Labor Day it will kick into high gear again. Trump will hit all the state fairs and draw huge crowds, but filling stadiums now? I doubt it, why would they come, there's no voting coming up for 5 months. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Someone needs to tell that to the left.
Mexican illegal immigration probably shifted to OTM more than we realize. I have heard that Mexico will get to zero population grwoth the next decade or so. You are right on economic conditions, for one Mexico is building a killer auto industry. What is more and more happening is the USA side of the border getting more dangerous. And it keeps getting worse. The President is a fink. |

You have to clarify your terms a little. Replacement or sub-replacement total fertility rates will certainly happen in Mexico within the decade. But Mexicans are still a decade younger than Americans. Zero Population Growth (ZPG) or Negative Population Growth (NPG) can be either "natural" or "with net immigration/emmigration". So they won't achieve ZPG for a while, as they are too young to die in the large numbers as Americans. US Census Bureau says that 2.65 million American will die this year, but only 651 thousand Mexicans and 72 thousand Guatemalans. In all three countries, births will still outnumber deaths in 2050 (according to US Census bureau estimates). Canada should reach natural ZPG in a decade. NPG is very strong in Japan or Russia where deaths are much higher than births. Year:Population: Births- Deaths United States 2016: 323,995,528: 4,040,224 - 2,650,283 2050: 398,328,349: 4,413,478 - 4,090,832 Mexico 2016: 123,166,749: 2,283,512 - 651,552 2050: 150,567,503: 1,692,379 - 1,300,903 Guatemala 2016: 15,189,958: 372,306 - 71,849 2050: 22,995,434: 339,873 - 132,454 Canada 2016: 35,362,905: 363,177 - 301,999 2025: 37,558,781: 366,198 - 362,067 2050: 41,135,648: 399,427 - 527,359 Japan 2016: 126,702,133: 987,010 - 1,221,409 2050: 107,209,536: 721,520 - 1,470,915 Russia 2016: 142,355,415: 1,610,040 - 1,933,187 2050: 129,908,086: 1,123,705 - 1,913,546 |
