That is why they have submarine and plane based nucs. You can't stop the attack but there would always be enough fire power left to make sure we destroy an enemy and the world. Probably half the silos would also still be functional after any attack.

I can't imagine any large scale nuclear exchange as being anything but all sides lose. There will probably be hundreds or more decoys launched from both sides.

Unless they've come up with some magic defense I can't imagine anyone coming out well.

I wonder how fast Monk can launch his ship to Mars. Might be a lot of takers after nuclear devastation.

I'd assume the country would be at defcon 1. That'd probably mean the Potus has had more than 4 minutes to decide on their response in a variety of scenarios.

It's almost as if Rubio views Putin as untrustworthy. Someone should really tell Donald Trump about how nasty this Putin fellow can be.
