If Donald attempts to fire Robert Mueller, he should absolutely be impeached.

It will only be a matter of time, if he does that.

At least Nixon was only a liar and a crook. I've been saying from the beginning Trump doesn't have the temperament to be President. He's a guy who doesn't need to be in control of the most powerful office job in the world. He's a guy who needs someone to be able to control him.

The GOP is starting to reverse it's earlier support and has begun making negative statements about Mueller. The part of history that is repeating itself is "party before country" like with Bill Clinton.

So if they don't deny it, it must be true.

That is what we have so far--some guy who did not speak to the President said something was a possibility. We not only don't know if the subject ever really came up inside of the White House and yet the 24.7 news cycle is reporting it like it is fact.

That is the problem with always needing a "fresh" story...the depth of reporting is very low and the number of rumors reported as fact has grown.

IF and WHEN the President fires Mueller, then we should talk about the next actions...but firing someone in itself is not an impeachable offense. there actually has to be an impeachable offense in the articles of impeachment...

Well, he'd have to have "good cause" to fire him. That's the standard.

Because he may or may not be friends with another guy you have fired to stop the FBI's investigation into Russia would not be "good cause."

If he fires him without "good cause" = obstruction of justice. Bye bye Donald.

Not exactly...Comey was fired and the investigation can continue. Mueller could be replaced and the investigation could continue. The investigations of the House and Senate can continue.

It isn't automatically "obstruction of justice" to fire someone you have the power to fire. It may be a bad move, but not necessarily criminal.

It's fascinating to me. When Mueller was appointed, everyone left and right, agreed that he was an excellent choice.

Now the Trumpsters have started sweating bullets for some reason... is it because they're so sure that Donald is innocent? (/sarcasm)

Donald does not have to power to fire him.

Only Rod Rosenstein does. But Donald could try to get Rosenstein to fire him. Today Rod Rosenstein testified that he would not listen to Donald if we was instructed to fire him without "good cause."

No way this guy reveals a private conversation with Trump unless Trump told him to put it out there. Trump is letting fox and his base know his plans so they can gear up the defense of this move
