Here's a typical zen story. Two monks are watching
a flag flap in the breeze. One monk says 'Flag is
moving.' The other says 'Wind is moving.' Just
then the master comes along and says 'Mind
is moving'.

I say the correct answer is that the wind is moving, but what do I know? Here is the answer the one about the tree falling in the woods when nobody is around to hear it.

These stories are meant to point you in the
direction of moving your attention inward, to
yourself being the source of your reality.

As someone who was once steeped in the laws and equations of classical mechanics, I am unable to be the least bit introspective about a flag flapping in the wind.
The mind hungers for that on which it feeds.

The story has nothing to do with
flags or wind. It's about creating
reality, that we each do it. It's
what you think that makes your
world. It's why a zealot can blow
up a cafe because his reality is
he'll be rewarded in heaven with
virgins.

Thoughts from quantum mechanics. Atoms that can spin in two directions at the same time.

But qm isn't saying the directions are opposing is it?

Much like a MLB curve pitch, the ball is spinning in two, but not opposing directions.

In the process of sorting themselves into separate quantum states, the atoms moving very fast to the left end up spinning one way, while those moving very fast to the right end up spinning the other way. “What about the atoms moving with a velocity in between these extremes?” Zwierlein asks. “Quantum mechanics provides a surprising answer: They can simultaneously spin both ways.”

I thought they had to spin twice to arrive back at their original position.

Just to get us back on track for this thread, isn't this what Mr. Trump seems to be doing.

Trump hasn't caused a major disaster yet with his near constant distortions, but that doesn't mean there isn't some potential danger down the road. Just need the perfect storm of circumstances.

And if I'm wrong, and there is no penalty for this kind of promoted dishonesty, then maybe the world doesn't work as I thought.

I read he's up to 5000+ lies or distortions. At this rate he'll be over 10,000 before he ends the first term.
