I just sent my sister an email, 'cause I was pretty sure my parents house had central air in 1968. House was brand new then.

My parents bought their 1st house in 1970 which was a brand new house.
Typical middle class neighborhood
We had central air. Whole neighborhood had central air.
It was a pretty big house, 3BR 2 1/2 bath with a family room and den.
Nobody in the neighborhood changed their oil
I remember eating out quite a bit
My Mom had a ton of clothes.
Instead of a huge closet, only had that seasons clothes in the closet. As the weather got colder or warmer, she would store a set and bring out another set.
Overall, I'm middle class now, not much change except tech

I’m not watching but I just saw the clip of Elizabeth Warren verbally disemboweling Bloomberg on Twitter.

LOL

People that work got it decades ago. Slugs waiting for things to be handed to them not so much.
Exactly. That's exactly what they are. Sadly, they're all over the freakin country. *sigh

I’ll bet the quality of life of a middle class person now is far better than 30 years ago. Safer car. Smartphone. Uber. Gay rights. Keureg. Facebook. A regular Joe has it much better now than then. You can point to a number.... I can point to the things that make life better, easier.....
Yep, yep, yep, yep & yep! The libbies just don't get it. It's insanity man.

What you have to understand is they are just making the same argument as they do on global warming. There instead of thinking for themselves the say they "listen to the scientists." Here he is saying instead of thinking for oneself to listen to some kind of data a liberal pol told him to listen to.

On one hand it makes sense. Only 24 hours in a day and every minute you spend thinking for yourself is a minute you cannot watch reruns of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." OTOH the same politician who said to listen to him and not think for yourself is saying he will solve your problems if only you give up some freedoms and pay more taxes.

I'll think for myself. And I will not cry about it because the CEO had a good year for himself. If he does not pay me enough I will find something else to do.
The President is a fink.

Umm, we are talking about DECADES of economic policy, not 3 years. The middle class, compared to 1980, is NOT DOING BETTER

.......CEO pay skyrocketing while the workers who are the lifeline of their businesses have flat-lined. THIS IS A FACT.

Maybe it’s just you Triperino.

Real median household income, adjusted for inflation was $51,721 in 1986. By December 2018, it was $63,179. Family income is much higher than that.

The best part about it is there are seven million more jobs, more people working than ever before, and record low unemployment across every demographic.

Those CEOs you complain about, create and run industries. They invest in innovation and create new technologies that drive the world economy. They create and manage trillions in wealth, and create and protect millions of jobs. If Bezos, Zuckerberg, Cook, Dimon, and Musk had a year better than me, good for them.

For example, business investment is currently shrinking, you know that right?

FRED is calling BS on you Triperino.

Here

Investment in structures was down in 2019. Investments in intellectual property, R&D, and equipment, are up.

My sister confirmed our new house had central air in 1967.

Bloomberg's whole platform seems
to be, Trump has got to go at all
costs. That strategy fails every
time it's tried. Nobody elects
a president with a negative message.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
