So nobody has the truth? So I am just as correct as you are?

Absolutely correct. About subjective truth,
anyway. You have your own truths about
how a banana tastes, or what your fave
color is. Mine are different than yours,
that doesn't make them wrong.

You have your personal opinions of
the concept of god, just like a Muslim
or a Jew or a Buddhist does. Or an
atheist. In our separate subjective
realities we're all correct, it works
for us. It's when you try and force
your subjective reality on someone
else that trouble begins.

People in the Middle East can sit
there all day long with their god
beliefs, it's their time to waste.
It's when they start blowing up
the property of people who believe
differently, just because they
believe differently, that's when we
see they're too ignorant to tell
the difference between subjective
and objective reality.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

There are no truths. Everything is subjective and perspective.

So you're saying in objective
reality there is no such thing
as a good gas station hot dog.
They're only good because
you think they are.

So is that a truth? Or were you just deftly pointing out the ridiculousness of such a statement, bravo!

So is that a truth?

"One mans truth is another mans belly laugh." Robert Heinlein

There is no subjective truth, only
objective truth. Snow is white. An
objective truth. God is love. A
subjective speculation. Nothing
about 'god is love' can be proven
objectively. It's just your hope and
opinion.

I would agree that it is not a "truth", it is an opinion. It may be my truth but a global truth does not currently exist. Until we as humans know everything we will not know anything to be true. Many centuries ago it was believed by most to be a truth that the Earth is flat, today we know more and think that is no longer the case.

Until we understand everything, we know nothing.

What makes one of these an objective truth and the other a subjective speculation?

You do not have to know everything to make a truth statement.

I am not sure about that.

We've had these discussions about
'truth' before, they end up going
nowhere. There is no one truth
that applies to the subjective
and philosophical world. Truth
is always relative to where you
happen to be standing at the
time. For instance, pre meditated
murder is wrong, unless you live
in a cannibalistic society. So is it
really right or wrong.

Now you will bring up the Holocaust
again, as you always do at this point
in the discussion.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
