The Super Walmart I went into today had reinstated a mandatory mask policy.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

WTF
Father goes to school with zip ties to arrest a principal for masks
But
His kids are home schooled. They don't attend any school.
WTF

The thing we tend to forget in these divisive times is that guys like this are our fellow Americans, part of our one big tribe, and as such their concerns should be listened to.

OK, I've heard enough ... arrest the damned fool.

Deaths from COVID up to 10,860 last week, which is way above the ~6000 per week at this time last year.
In the initial wave the death rate never got higher than 16,000/week in latter part of April of 2020.
Death rate peaked at ~24,000 per week in January 2021.

As we are only about 10,000 short of breaking the total deaths in 1918 we will probably pass that within a week.

Almost all states are within 10% of the average number of cases. Covid isn't a red/blue issue as much as you want to make it that way.

Red states are suffering
Red states have more policies supporting the spread of the virus
A lot of it is religious

Looks like we're reaping what we sowed with the Delta variant wreaking havoc nationwide, causing a record number of infections and hospitalizations.

We need to shut it all down again, get serious and draconian, or else.

No, covid is not an existential event, just one unprecedented in modern America.

Apparently you think that shutting down will make the virus disappear. It only delays it until the you open up again. The virus is here to stay either we get the vaccines right so they can handle the current variants and all the new ones we haven't seen yet, or we don't. We can't stay locked down for 5 years or more, the damage from that will be as bad or worse than the deaths from the virus. The virus will get it's pound of flesh in the end. Be that the .2% deaths the US has now or 1% or even 10%.

The human race needs a cull anyway we are getting to weak as a species. The only real pollution in the world is too many humans. Think of it as the ultimate climate change solution.
