PATHETIC! Unless you name the woman, and laud her qualifications, what you are now saying is essentially "I gotta pick a woman VP no matter what"! What if his first choice declines his offer and he believes that Buttigieg is the second best choice? Nope..... How about saying.... there are so many strong possibilities for VP, both female and male, it would not be surprising at all if my choice was a woman. |

I actually agree, its a cheap point. I care about the individual, not what gender they happen to be. I would have been much more impressed if he said "I am seeking somebody who can match my goals and help me expand my platform", instead of just saying "I am committing tonight to appoint a woman".... cheap point..... |

Hard to believe anyone really thinks there could only be one woman good enough to be Vice President, that we would have leave the entire pool of possible women and go to picking a man instead. It's not like a small organization pick. Maybe if he had narrowed it down more, I'd consider it a misspeak. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |
