No, not anymore, I switched to the Army Reserves. I used to be in the NJ Army National Guard when I lived in NJ. But, being in the National Guard ties you to a state, the Army Reserve gives you a lot more flexibility for moving around.

The National Guard is controlled by the State (most of the time) so it can be activated by Govenors for this kind of stuff, but its pretty rare for the Federal Military to be activated for Law Enforcement support stateside, it would have to be pretty extreme because it would require congressional approval (Posse Comitatus Act), the National Guard gets around this by being assigned under States (or territories, such as Guam and PR). That is why there has been debate over having Space Force National Guard (right now there is only an Army National Guard and Airforce National Guard).

I can be wrong, but I think Minnesota is the only state to activate the National Guard on a large scale. I think Washington (State) did to a smaller scale for some issues in Seattle. But, its a wise move, saves money, and prevents a lot of damage. Just seeing people in Army uniforms often will scare off raiders. I think in Minnesota they have been used to escort local fire trucks into sections of the city that it was previously unsafe to go to (which is what was causing some of the really bad fires).

National Guard is a great organization, because it is the military (Army or Airforce), but made up of Reserve volunteers locally so you have a wide spectrum of backgrounds and experience, but all have gone through the Army (or Airforce) training. That being said, I would advise most people interested in enlisting to go Army Reseves over National Guard (much more flexibility and options) from a practical standpoint. But, many people in the National Guard are locals who like to stay where they are.

Sorry I realize I kind of droned on. But, no, I am not longer involved. And, to my knowledge the National Guard where I live or used to live will not be involved. I am in a medical unit in the Reserves so we do activate stateside, for stuff like COVID-19 relief, but never for law enforcement or riot related stuff.
