So ex is back in town with her 29 foot trailer. Is there a difference between trailer/RV/camper?
Mostly semantics. Camping is what you do, in an RV whether or not you tow it, drive it, or rent it already hooked up in a park.

There are different options for towing, either 5th wheel in which the overhang of the trailer sits over the top of the tow vehicle, such as a semi truck does. Others have trailer ball attachments. Motorhomes, [class A] are a big rectangle that has it's own engine and can tow another vehicle, or two if you are in some states. Many now have "slide outs" which greatly increase their livability. The smaller the unit, the more adept at 'camping' or short stays. If someone wants to "live" in one, the bigger it is, the more options available. Similar to boating, width [beam] is everything.

Backing into 'camping' spots success is in direct obverse proportionality to the experience of the driver. The 5th wheels tow nicer [so they say], the "ball attachment" types allow more use of the bed of the tow vehicle, and will back into tighter locations.

What an experience this morning
27 degrees and snowed overnite
WTF
I'm in the desert
Couldn't take a shower, outside hose froze. No water pressure. Hot water staying in the hot water tank.
Walked to the RV clubhouse but did not like the showers, too chilly
I like taking morning hot shower in my warm camper
Got all dressed up and went outside to disconnect the hose, brought it inside to unfreeze
Still freezing outside, 30 degrees, but got hose unfrozen
Went outside, hooked it up
got water pressure
took a hot shower
Gonna make sure I disconnect the hose tonight, another freezing night
Either get heat tape, or winterize the trailer, or learn RV plumbing and repair. You aren't set up for cold weather. jmho

Didn't you ever visit there? I remember
being in Vegas in the late 70's and it
was so cold in Nov you couldn't
even walk around without a heavy
winter coat.

I visited twice before moving here but apparently I didn't visit in the winter. I just assumed the desert was always warm. I was 23 years old and naïve.

It’s why wifey ruled out Vegas for second home. Too cold for her in winter.

That's funny, especially since we have had zero rain in 185 straight days.

And that's not even the record is it? I saw over 140 a couple weeks ago for Phoenix, but on our home calendar it says January?

I think we had 6 days without
rain this summer, but maybe
not. It rains at night and I never
know about it.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
