Why is the street sign in English?

Str=Strasse

Strasse=German for street.

The other sign is in Dutch and French :)

Not to be confused with the Stasi, the state security service of the former East Germany.

I was asking why "Adolf Hitler" was in English.

At least I gave myself a good laugh if no else.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Here is a type of license plate I've never seen before in my 30 years of collecting:

Kingdom of Hawaii. I've been to Maui twice and never seen one, and trust me I look.

EB, didn't you used to live in Hawaii? Help me out there -- what is this thing?

I lived on Oahu. Ask Babs, she lived there
for years.

Assuming it was not some kind of commemorative thing that has to be one rare bird given that cars only existed 10 years of so before Hawaii was annexed.

Never seen a plate like that (the Hawaii one) before. It says Maui, so maybe unique to that island. Might have been a front-plate commemorative thing, because they only require a back plate there. But that's all speculation on my part. Certainly never saw one like that as a back-plate on the Big Island. Even separatists trying to secede from the US just flew their flag or used the decal; there wasn't a plate related to that movement that I saw.
Never doubt a small group of concerned citizens can change the world; it's the only thing ever has

They are "separatist" plates, not recognized as legal by the state, and folks that display them on their vehicles instead of state issued front and rear plates are subject to citation.

Thank you! I guess the owner is incorrect in describing the plate as follows, "A legally issued plate from Maui County for use on vehicle." in the auction description.

It looks like the plate might have been legal
for a short time, for native Hawaiians, but is
not legal now.
