Adaptive cruise control systems were about $2,800 when they first came out about 2008. They shouldn't be nearly that expensive today.

They seem to be standard on most midrange cars now.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.

I should think with Automatic Emergency Braking fairly common that Adaptive Cruise Control would be relatively simple.
