Its the strangest thing. The right is so obsessed with Russia winning a war that they supposedly don't care about.... And, so offended anytime Ukraine takes good ground. Its almost like they are in the same camp as Russia....

Anyway, these are the same people that thought Ukraine would be taken in a matter of weeks, so their bias is clear.

I thought Ukraine would have fallen in weeks as well. But I am VERY HAPPY they seem to be holding their own against the Russian bullies. I was watching soccer (UEFA) and was shocked to see a Ukrainian team represented. Seems odd while your country is literally being invaded to be playing international club soccer matches….

Soccer helps with morale.
I'm really shocked a lot of conservatives are pro Russia
WTF
There was a time when you could depend on the Republican party to be against Russia and for any country fighting Russia
It's about freedom
It's about supporting the good guys and being against bullying.
It's about supporting worldwide democracy
All the other democracies on this planet are against Russia in this matter
It's common sense
Then Trump
Then the change to people like Tucker
Chilling.

Hmm. Either more people will start falling out of windows or maybe there is going to be a serious disruption of power.

Quote:
On Saturday, The Daily Beast reported that "just one day after several municipal deputies in Putin’s hometown of St. Petersburg called on the State Duma to try the Russian leader for treason, their colleagues in Moscow joined in and demanded he steps down because his views are 'hopelessly outdated.'"

In an open letter to Putin, deputies from Moscow's Lomonosovsky district recalled that Putin's leadership began with "good reforms" but that as time marched onward, “everything went wrong.”

While the deepening quagmire in Ukraine was not specifically mentioned, the authors stressed that the status quo under Putin is untenable.

“The rhetoric that you and your subordinates use has been riddled with intolerance and aggression for a long time, which in the end effectively threw our country back into the Cold War era. Russia has again begun to be feared and hated, we are once again threatening the whole world with nuclear weapons,” the officials wrote. “We ask you to relieve yourself of your post due to the fact that your views and your governance model are hopelessly outdated and hinder the development of Russia and its human potential."
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

No, Russia was doing terrible in the beginning, the right insisted that Russia was playing slow and it would be over in a couple weeks. Now, 7-8 months later they are still doing as bad, maybe worse (losing ground). The Russian military is just not doing well for factors that many people foresaw, they are not wanted there (no local support), they have poor supply logistics, and they have no morale. Once winter comes things will stall further. If Putin remains in power, it could turn into a perpetual war over slivers of land.

When it started everyone thought Russia would win and fast. They bogged and we did the smart thing sending Ukraine weapons. It is kind of like saying a team was going to lose then they sign and activate Tom Brady in the first quarter then saying they would win all along because they had a good QB.

Maybe everyone on the pro-Russian right, certainly not everyone. Many people thought Ukraine would hold out.

Over 20,000 people from all over the world joined the Ukraine foreign legion since March (and these are just those who officially join). People are literally flocking to fight for Ukraine for no pay (actually paying to be there). Russia is struggling to get (and keep) conscripts. Its two totally different militaries, one is full of people who want to be there, one is full of people who are struggling to get away despite the threat of force.

Yup
Totally agree
Some Americans even went to Ukraine to fight for Ukraine.
I don't think a single American volunteered for Russia
