When you quit arresting people or charging them with a crime the crime rate will go down even if there is more of the activity that was included in the previous stats..

Not true. If people quit reporting the crimes it would go down.

In another ‘you can’t make this up’ moment, it has been discovered that Katie Porter’s campaign spent millions of dollars supporting a candidate…. named Early…. who was running against her…. They figured votes for Early would decrease votes for Garvey…..

Then she had the audacity to complain that the election was rigged by ‘big money’. Good riddance. With her (lack of) ethics probably gets a job at CNN or MSNBC.

Katie Porter is yesterdays news.

The numbers are flawed. Historically, only about 45% report crimes. Only 71% of US law enforcement agencies didn't submit data to the FBI in 2022.

Red States (more in the bottom end), Blue Cities (like New Orleans)...lots have not gotten onboard with the new reporting system. Maybe there is an issue in places where small agencies have their statistics submitted by the larger local Sheriff's Office.

Maybe some oversight hearings and a solution are in order.

So what are the real numbers?

Isn't that what I said? This started with the post about crime rates being down.

You are lucky then. She is a far left wacko who was called ‘a rising star’. Schiff crushed that idea. Got bad advice. Could have ‘risen’ in the House but got greedy trying for a Senate seat. But I’m sure she’ll do fine in her next gig on CNN/MSN/etc…. She’s exactly the out of touch type ex politician they crave.

Women's Cancer Fund raised the money from 2017 to 2022 by making deceptive and misleading claims. In reality, the bulk of the donations went to the $775,139 salary of the charity's president, Gregory Anderson, and to pay for-profit fundraisers $15.55 million, as well as overhead expenses, the lawsuit alleges.
"[O]f the $18.25 million donated to the Women's Cancer Fund only $194,809 – roughly one percent – was spent directly on helping women with cancer," the lawsuit claims.

Charity fraud indicates "character" so low, they should double the prison sentence as a danger to defrauding anyone or anything at any opportunity,

very common though, what's uncommon is a lawsuit

also typical, not uncommon, that expenses and salary eat up all the money ... hard to make a case of fraud about that

I've never even heard of a charity only paying out %1 of the intake of donations to the actual cause. Yeah, I'm familiar with the more typical overhead costs.
