That's pretty much it. Woman with dependents, supposedly on the pill, who "accidentally" got pregnant to marry someone who was well off. My wife despises her for various subsequent selfish actions, but one day lets it slip with something like " any woman has to admire how she saw to getting support for the [already existing] family"

I wonder if this translates into all cultures or just here in the good ole U S of A?

True in 1900 but not true today. Women are
more employable than men and have benefits
up the butt from the gov't if they have a kid.

What about all those studies and talking points saying women earn less than men?

I would hope any woman any of us would get involved in would not be the type to abuse social services - although...

Some do some don't. I'm really sick of the impression
that men make $40k a year and women make $20k
for the same job. Its bullshit, many companies pay men
and women exactly the same amounts for the same jobs.
You think the women who work in HR, who know what
everybody makes, would put up with anything less?

the women who work in HR

I'd like to know the statistic, there must be an enormous percentage of women. 80% wouldnt shock me.

Most of the late twenty somethings who meet for dinner over the issue of disparate earnings find that the only males are the waiter and busboys since females actually out-earn males.

They are nonsense. A female co-worker wanted to argue this with me saying "she did a term paper on it," But she did not want to listen to the facts that point to why women may earn less. Mainly women want to take time off to have kids (a lifestyle choice); are less likely to be willing to relocate (another lifestyle choice); and prefer jobs with lower but more steady pay such as a secretary vs a salesperson.

If one listens carefully the chant that used to be "equal pay for equal work" has changed to "equal pay." The push is for the silly concept called "comparable worth" meaning if you have 5 salesmen and on female secretary supporting them then she should be paid the same as them because without her the other work would not get done. This is silly, but this is what they are pushing.
The President is a fink.

Who what, work in HR? My wife works for one of
the largest insurance companies in the world and
the entire HR dept is women. Men hate HR, its
all about people bitching and moaning.

I knew a guy in the 90's who made $250K a year selling
heavy equipment overseas. He showed me a pic once
of a party the company threw at a Playboy Club for
all the salesmen. Not a woman in the picture. I asked if
there were any women sales people and he said hell no,
women suck at big ticket item sales. They don't know
how to go after the throat and get the job done. Also,
most foreigners don't respect dealing with women in
places of power and they did a lot of sales in Japan and
the Middle East. Even in EU you can forget it, way too much
of the macho attitude in those old countries.
