If you spent most of your weekend watching the last season of "The Good Wife" because the cable channel carrying it showed it in twin marathons, does that constitute a wasted weekend?

I had an unusually good night's sleep yesterday and an easy morning today.

And then I spoiled it all by coming to work.

For some unusual reason I slept in today and didn't wake up until 7:02am (I am usually up by 6am). It was about 7:03am when I realized it is Tuesday and I have my weekly corporate 7:30am meeting. Jump in the shower, shave, get dressed, jump in the car and drive to the main office. I walk into the meeting at exactly 7:30. Fortunately traffic was light and I can't believe I made it on time.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.

I wouldn't have made it out of the shower until after 7:30 am.

I wonder if our circadian rhythms are preparing for the annual return to Standard Time?

They are sensitive to the length of blue light in the daytime, just as animals, plants and insects often are.

I attempted to write a check today. The first one in the past three years.

Why? To pay my medical insurance. The banks were being unreasonable with "safety" features on my cards, and wouldn't allow me to charge the full amount <grumble, grumble>. I could have made a deposit, but I wanted a trail in case the insurance company got clever. Ergo a check.

I messed it up twice before the person waiting for it suggested they write it and I sign.

About the VP debate:

Sitting VP: "Imagine a factory floor with a mighty machine. It has many pieces. One, in particular, is vital. Without that piece, the machine falls apart."

Interested voter: "And you're that part?"

Sitting VP: "No. I'm the spare for that part, sitting in a storage closet out of sight."

Time for some damn opera. Always makes me think of helicopters. But this one makes me think of ladies on seesaws.

You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Ride of the Valkyrie was Hitlers favorite piece
by Wagner, Hitlers fave composer.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
