My guess is neuro-monitoring will be a separate bill. Some places for some procedures everything is bundled into one payment based on the "DRG". Most are separate. I'll guess your surgeon gets $6k, your anesthesiologist $2k. This is what they actually end up getting, not the phony bill that showed you the quarter million dollar possible bill. Mine are really just guesses, as the exact surgery your surgeon did can vary.... "Back surgery" is quite variable. |

You must have seen some real screw up's. My sister in law was a hospital nurse for 20 years and she hates doctors with a passion. She says their all huge liars. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Where to start..... off course their are 'screw ups'. Certainly some doctors are liars. My experience is that is a small percentage. Interesting concept.... What job attracts the most liars? Used car salesman? "In mint condition" Mattress salesman? "Worth the extra $800" Politician? "I will create more jobs while lowering taxes" Pro football head coach? "No way we trade him..." Babysitter? "Your son is the sweetest kid I know" |

She says anytime a doc made a mistake, and they make TONS, they always find a nurse to blame it on. She has hundreds of stories and claims hospital nurses have zero respect for doctors. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
