a fancy office chair will not save you, because it is still a chair. Your body is happiest perching, which is when you sit on a high stool (think a bar stool at a kitchen island), with your rear on the edge of the stool. Perching works because your spine remains in an elongated S-shape ( not a slumped over C-shape), and your leg muscles remain activated, which spurs production of an enzyme called lipoprotein lipase, which burns fat from the bloodstream and prevents that glommed-up feeling. At first, perching might tire your abdominal and back muscles—that’s good! They’re getting stronger. Slowly build up minutes.

Cut from article.
That is how and where I sit. We found an faux oak table that is 42" tall x 50" wide x 24" deep. It is very sturdy with an oval foot rest that goes completely around. I keep one oak swivel bar stool at it to sit on, that's where I keep my lap top. I can watch tv over the top. This all stretches out my body as you wrote in your post, I need to stretch out my diaphragm and not let it compress my lungs. It's easy to get out of, I just spin around and step away. I love my chair and table set up with my pc sitting in the middle of it. Several people have tried to buy this table from me and I refuse, I've never seen another, but everyone sees it says, what a great idea, where can i get one?

Saw a story about 2 brothers drowning after jumping off a bridge featured in the movie "Jaws" Fought against a current.

Quote:
Trying to swim against a rip current will only use up your energy; energy you need to survive and escape the rip current. Do NOT try to swim directly into to shore. Swim along the shoreline until you escape the current's pull. When free from the pull of the current, swim at an angle away from the current toward shore.

Caveat, if Niagra Falls is the end point, you might still be in trouble.

Even if you don't believe in Evolution, there's plenty of actual evidence of humanity developing from organized tribes to clusters of towns or cities, to organized territories, to nation states, and each developing outward. The technology doesn't exist to live in space continuously or on another planet, but if the same trend continues the nation or nations that are able to get into space on a nearby planet, the same expansion should continue.

A lot is possible as far who has the most control over space, including what happens on Earth. I don't think you could control the Earth if another country is dominating space technology. So, obtaining control first is important.

Love Me, I'm A Liberal, song lyrics

Song: Love Me, I'm A Liberal
Lyrics: Phil Ochs

Music: Phil Ochs
Year: 1966 (or before)
Genre: Folk
Country: USA

I cried when they shot Medgar Evers;
Tears ran down my spine.
I cried when they shot Mr. Kennedy,
As though I'd lost a father of mine.
But Malcolm X got what was coming,
He got what he asked for this time.
So love me, love me, love me, I'm a liberal.

I go to civil rights rallies.
And I put down the old D.A.R.
I love Harry and Sidney and Sammy,
I hope every colored boy becomes a star.
But don't talk about revolution,
That's going a little bit too far.
So love me, love me, love me, I'm a liberal.

I cheered when Humphrey was chosen;
My faith in the system restored.
And I'm glad the commies were thrown out,
of the A.F.L. C.I.O. board.
I love Puerto Ricans and Negros,
as long as they don't move next door.
So love me, love me, love me, I'm a liberal.

The people of old Mississippi,
Should all hang their heads in shame.
Now I can't understand how their minds work.
What's the matter don't they watch Les Crain?
But if you ask me to bus my children,
I hope the cops take down your name.
So love me, love me, love me, I'm a liberal.

Yes, I read New Republic and Nation,
I've learned to take every view.
You know, I've memorized Lerner and Golden,
I feel like I'm almost a Jew.
But when it comes to times like Korea,
There's no one more red, white and blue.
So love me, love me, love me, I'm a liberal.

I vote for the Democratic Party,
They want the U.N. to be strong.
I go to all the Pete Seeger concerts;
He sure gets me singing those songs.
And I'll send all the money you ask for,
But don't ask me to come on along.
So love me, love me, love me, I'm a liberal.

Once I was young and impulsive;
I wore every conceivable pin.
Even went to the socialist meetings;
Learned all the old union hymns.
But I've grown older and wiser,
And that's why I'm turning you in.
So love me, love me, love me, I'm a liberal.

I prefer "Get High" by Brandi Clark
Friends of mine that are Trumpers love this song
I like it also
Everybody likes to get high, libs and Trumpers
Its the only thing Americans can agree on, legal weed :-)

She hates her job, loves her kids
Bored with her husband
Tired of the same old list of things to do
So when the to-dos have all been done
She sits down at the kitchen table
And rolls herself a fat one
Smoke so sweet fills the air
She maybe ought to crack a window
But all she can do is stare at the paint
That's been peeling off the walls
A couple tokes and her troubles don't seem all that tall
You know life will let you down
Love will leave you lonely
Sometimes to only way to get by
Is to get high
She laughs out loud at who she used to be
A girl who'd a looked down on
A woman's moking weed in her kitchen
Sometimes she misses those younger days
Seeing the world through rose colored glasses
Instead of this purple haze
You know life will let you down
Love will leave you lonely
Sometimes to only way to get by
Is to get high
So she tucks her kids in at night
Kisses her husband turns off the light
And talks to God
Says Lord gel me accept what I cannot change
But until I learn to do that
Thanks for the Mary Jane
You know life will let you down
Love will leave you lonely
Sometimes to only way to get by
Is to get high
Sometimes to only way to get by
Is to get high

I was wondering if people 20 years from now will marvel about the way we use energy today ... actually, I don't wonder if switching to renewable energy totally takes over and we quit using so much fossil fuel

"remember when we would just leave the TV on, even when no one was watching?"

"remember when if you left a light on in a room, nobody cared?"

"remember when sometimes you'd just go for a drive to entertain yourselves?"

I still do both of those. I am currently laying in bed watching football but my patio light is on and the TV on the patio is tuned to the same game. It would be bothersome to turn the TV's and lights off every time I switched locations.

I have done all three of those just today. It is just different wasting of energy now. Leave your TV plugged in when not using it, still using energy. How about your phone at night? What about the wifi modem when your sleeping or not home? Electronics in your electric car at night. The electronics in your fridge, stove, furnace, clocks etc. etc. We waste more energy now then your examples with all our new products.

I have to think we all still do these things except for those who grew up when electricity was relatively much more expensive, or were influenced by them. Leaving a light on? Someone born around 1890 - 1930 would almost surely scold you if they were the ones paying the electric bill. Now these people are getting pretty rare to find these days, the early years all dead in fact. But I lived with them and they were like that in prior days.

Good point. I wonder if we will start unplugging things

Actually I have been going to the circuit breaker box and switching off some things when we leave the house to travel. But not to save money*, but to keep modern appliances from getting a power surge. I'm convinced all those electronic brains they make these appliances with are very vulnerable. The power goes off, and when it comes back on look out!

* well I do turn off the hot water heater for that reason, why not if I'm clicking off the other things
