(BOS) to (SFO) is 2700 miles

=============
Hondajet has first flight of production model.

I will carry 7 people including crew for $4.5 million, but has a range of 1,358 miles with 4 occupants.

The problem with these tiny jets is there is no toilet. You could ask your executives to void their bladder and to wear Depends just in case, but they really don't want to do that.

NOTE: BOS is not Boston.

The new HondaJet has a fully enclosed lavatory made possible by the space-saving feature of over-wing mounted engines. At a ceiling of 43,000 ft the plane is for quick quiet climbs and direct flight to destination

Boston Logan International Airport (airport code BOS) is New England's largest transportation center located 3 miles across the harbor from downtown Boston.

I realized I made a mistake in not checking the design of the Hondajet specifications. It does have a lavatory. It also seems to be considerably faster than the Mustang.

Cruise speed:340 KTAS
Range: 2161 km
Service ceiling: 41000 ft
Rate of climb: 3010 fpm

Cruise speed: 420 KTAS
Range: 2,185 km
Service ceiling: 42,999 ft
Rate of climb: 3,990 ft/min

It seems almost perfect for Mexico City, except Tijuana is 2300 km, and Panama City, PA is 2400 km.

Are there any relaxations on crew requirements if fewer passengers are carried? This might extend the range.

Yes, that makes a difference. Boston to Miami is 2032 km. That might be the driver for the design.

Any "adjustments" that extend the range even slightly would contribute to Nationwide Service capability.

With larger corporate jets you get a good deal of corporate freeloaders but in these smaller jets the cargo priority is likely to be:
A circuit board,
A robotics engineer,
A Regional Sales Representative.
And that's it! No wives or assistants trying to get a free ride.

This might extend the legal range of the aircraft as well as its actual range.

Windows are only there as a passenger demand, but I don't think it has much effect on fuel economy.

Here is another design group pushing the windowless business jet concept.

I'd really like it if all jets used take-off/landing cameras, like a handful of Interjet's fleet does. The take-off view is not much, but the landing view is amazing. Too bad Interjet didn't follow up and put it in every plane...

Video we would all like, its that audio that can be problematic, especially during that recent Atlanta Ground Controller/Pilot interaction about who has the Attitude Problem.
