There's nothing to get. That's how it's sued. Why should "work" mean "exercise" in English, as in "working out"? Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

I understand that ancient words acquire new meanings. In Old English, the noun "work" also had the sense of fornication. (spelled weorc, worc in OE). workout (n.) 1848 - Verbal phrase work out "solve" (a problem, etc.) 1909 - Sense of "succeed" . 1909, "boxing bout for training," 1922 general sense of "spell of strenuous physical exercise". But I am not aware of verbs having such radically different meanings just from using different tenses. Perhaps I need to think about it more. Como hacer un ... ¿Como hace un ...? |
