Charleston Blvd. location is still open and they plan to open another at 3260 Losee Road in North Las Vegas (Cheyenne Blvd exit off of I15). I think the strip location closed because of conflicts with the landlord, not because of lack of business. |

| Wizard Administrator Member since: Oct 23, 2012 Threads: 239 Posts: 6095 | I'd like to put in a good word for Relatos Salvajes. It is six short stories all dealing with rage and revenge. The movie is hard to watch at times. However, I find myself thinking of it often a day later. This is the kind of movie that might be hard to watch the first time but you'll find yourself watching over and over, if given the opportunity. Much like any Stanley Kubrick movie. I wish I had a native speaker with me to help me with some of the slang. As with any foreign movie, seize the opportunity to see in a theater while you can. Its an Argentine movie. Based on previous discussion, the slang there is quite different from Mexico. All I know is that the equivalent of pussy must have been said at least 100 times. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

The whole movie was about furious people, who of course tend to use a lot of profanity. It was probably not easy to translate. I also feel sorry for whoever had to translate Scarface. Speaking of which, I've always wondered why that movie, about a recent Cuban immigrant, had almost no Spanish. However, I don't wish to hijack the thread. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |
