First you need a black worth about $4 billion.

In the late 1990s Walter Payton was trying to get some kind of deal together but he died. Teams are probably worth ten times as much now.

Reality is who cares.

probably not that much, most if not all, Nfl owners dont own 100%

They have to have a majority. And they have to be liquid to both buy and have working capital. You need well over $1 Billion.

The NFL does have two majority owners of color.

I suspect that they will have more in the future. There has to be a team for sale and a group with a majority partner holding 30% of the team with all kinds of rules,

Not an impossible bar, but it is a small number of opportunities.

Take Daniel Snyder's team from him...he is a horrible owner anyway.

(That is in jest, unless cause is found, because you don't take stuff from owners just to give it someone else...maybe someone can buy the team from him!

Guess who said the following:

“It is time for us to do what we have been doing, and that time is every day. Every day it is time for us to agree, that there are things and tools that are available to us to slow this thing down.”

So what?

The issue is BLACK owners, not Asians or Pakistanis.

How many Asian or Pakistani NFL players are there?

Were there recently "Paki lives matter" protests?

Of course not.

No, the current NFL is like an old school southern plantation with the field hands (players), overeseers (coaches) and of course the owners (masters).

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Yes, they stay the same. Skin color is the most important thing to liberals.

https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/global-economy-heading-mother-all-supply-chain-shocks-china-locks-down-ports

So, the nation that created the Covid virus, and is conducting chemical warfare on our young, the future of our economy, by sending tons of fentanyl to our shores, is now closing their ports over concern about the spread of Covid. They’re doing this to wreck our economy and our future, even more. This is why Trump was trying to move the supply side back to the US.

Currently 96 container ships waiting to be unloaded, off southern California ports. One year into the supply chain crisis, it finally dawned on Buttegeig to visit the ports of LA and Long Beach. Not to meet with the port operators or Union officials, but for a photo op, and to be able to say he went there. Biden has never gone there. Went instead, to the the automated Port of Baltimore, where there is no congestion, to give another one of his bumper sticker slogan speeches.

Trump was also trying to move pharmaceutical drug manufacturing back to Puerto Rico, to end our reliance on China, who currently supplies 90% of our antibiotics, and 70% of other drugs. Biden ended that idea.

More drug warfare: Current Resolved Drug Shortages Reported to FDA

“Chinese pharmaceutical companies have supplied more than 90 percent of U.S. antibiotics, vitamin C, ibuprofen and hydrocortisone, as well as 70 percent of acetaminophen and 40 to 45 percent of heparin in recent years, according to Yanzhong Huang, a senior fellow for global health at the Council on Foreign Relations.”

“Trump was trying”
“Trump was trying”

Yeah, too bad he was incompetent at pretty much everything and failed at most stuff he tried (other than court packing thanks to Mitch).

I'm not convinced. It's a small as hell sample size. Arthur Blank, acquired the Falcons in 2002...and since then, there have been seven changes of majority ownership in the NFL. At least one of those has been that of the Raiders, where it just went from father to son. I don't know how many of the other six were a matter of family and how many were straight purchases.

What would you do? Make a rule that the next time an NFL team comes up for sale it can only be sold to a majority black owner? Quite frankly, I wouldn't really care if you did because there probably should be more than zero black NFL owners...my point is just that the opportunity to buy an NFL team doesn't come up much.

There are also only seven black billionaires in the United States, so the easiest path would be for one of them to want to buy an NFL team. I can't say for sure that all seven of them would want to do that---Oprah, for instance, doesn't really seem like the football type.

Michael Jordan is a billionaire. Do you think he wouldn't be permitted to buy an NFL team? Roger Goddell would mess his pants (in front) at the prospect of Michael Jordan owning an NFL team, come on, man! Of course Jordan could buy a team.
