Let me ask you anti-vaxxers a question.

What if instead of covid we had a bubonic plague ten times as virlulent as the one that decimated Europe in the middle ages.

Assume a vaccine was available to prevent infection or minimize its effects, same as with covid.

Would you still have the same resistance to getting vaccinated against bubonic plague that you have toward the covid vaccines?

If not, why not, if so, why?

In that case I might, because the risks are higher. The china virus has a well over 99.5% survival rate for someone fitting my profile. Same as I do not get the flu shot I do not want this shot. Risk/reward is not there.

What I do not get is why people like yourself are so worried. You took the shot, you are safe. Go live your life. I pose no risk to you.

It's 2021, do you really think AIDS is a big problem anymore?

We have a pill - referred to as PrEP - that lets us f*** like bunny rabbits and not get HIV. And it's free through most insurances, just like the COVID vaccine!

So yeah, anyone dumb enough to not be on PrEP or not get the COVID vaccine, should absolutely not be covered for the consequences of their poor actions.

It is still amazing how overfunded AIDS was compared to the number of deaths it caused. Money that should have gone to major killers like heard disease went towards AIDS.

Hard to overstate how afraid of AIDS some people were back in the 80s. I saw an old "LA Law" a bit ago that had it in a storyline and reminded me.

There are very few problems in the world which can be knocked down so effectively as a vaccine can take down a disease. And too many people can’t even embrace it.

No, sheep just follow the herd and do as told by the shepherd. But for the 28th time, if you have the vax why do you care if I choose not to take it? You are safe.

I may be safe but all those who are not vaccinated are not safe.

This class can include children, who are not immune and who can have serious issues with the virus.
