Pointing out a personal insult has never been a thread hijack. You know better.

But one thing is always true: whenever I point out a rightie’s personal insult, there is always nearly instantaneous pushback about it from another rightie. It’s like there is some sort of hive mind where if one of them gets a timeout, they all feel pain.

I can't tell you what I would care less about than fleaswatter's possible short suspension for mildly insulting terapined. And you are 100% wrong. Pointing out a personal insult IS a thread hijack. The moderators have mentioned many times that you can PM them if you feel your feelings were hurt. The moderators tend to wisely not really enforce the hijack rule, because virtually every thread gets hijacked eventually, and generally it adds to the forum, rather than detracting from it. As I'm typing this, I actually do not know what thread it is in!
