Ukraine is getting 4th generation F-16's. Aside from that, other older weapons often have upgrades. No, they're not getting the F-22, or whatever the latest stealth tech is developed. But they have good stuff. It's just that when they don't have enough of our weapons, they have all their older hardware, usually older soviet.

I just read something that surprised me. The average age of the Ukrainian soldiers fighting is 42 years old. Apparently they refuse to draft anyone under the age of 27. Seems strange as U.S. will draft soldiers at 18.

Everybody is alarmed by the number of casualties Russia is taking. If the current casualty rate continues at roughly 1000 per day the Russians can continue for 10 years by just conscripting all 20-24 year old males.

Careful Elon... if you get too cozy with those people the Ukrainians will target you...and not in a good way.

Now that all of Moscow and the news is focused on the Kursk region, I would expect a major advance on Crimea very shortly.

Russia is humming along economically and he creates this total clusterf**k out of nothing.

Is Russia withdrawing from Crimea? Some signs sure point in that direction and Ukraine may have control withing 60 days. The question is are they withdrawing these soldiers to fight in Luhansk or Dombas or is this the start of a behind the scenes end of the war? If Russia is giving up on Crimea they may be quitting as Crimea was the most important piece for Putin.

if that is going on then I would think it is because Crimea would be hard to attack for Ukraine ... and the troops are needed for the Kursk problem ... a real embarrassment for Putin. I'd say now way they'd give up Crimea

It's like politics. If you listen to each side, you don't necessarily know how things are really going.
