Ukraine war latest: 11,000 North Korean troops will be 'ready to fight' in Ukraine by Nov. 1, Budanov says

This just reeks of Putin desperation

Definitely. The thing to be scared about is what is Putin giving North Korea in return.

Probably better long range missile technology.

Definitely guidance systems, better ground to air systems, cyberwarfare capabilities, etc.

There are lots of whispers going around now that NATO is willing to let Ukraine apply for membership if they negotiate with Russia to call a stalemate with current borders as they are currently occupied. This might be the best case scenario for Ukraine at this point. Russia may also accept it because they want to get out of the war too and they could save a little face by saying look at the areas of Ukraine we have conquered.

I don’t see anything big happening until after our Presidential election. Ukrainians are probably following our election closer than some of our citizens.

Of course, it could be a bad sign for Harris winning if they suddenly settle for some agreement beforehand. At least in their betting markets.

No way it happens before the election. Even the negotiating process will probably take months if it does happen.

It appears North Korea is sending lots of troops to Russia presumably to fight in Ukraine. When this was first announced I assumed it was a rather small group of less than 10,000. Now it appears like it may be a lot more and this may finally get NATO directly involved. I can also envision South Korea getting involved.

This is getting very exciting.

That might be worse than being a Russian prisoner at the front lines.
