I think all deaths are unequal to almost everybody. A death of a close family member may be impactful to you, but most of the 7 billion other people will probably not care at all. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

Ukraine doesn't trust written agreements because they were violated before. Seems to me the bare minimum, without putting a foreign military peace-keeping force is immediately putting in American contractors on the ground. They can't wait and ship them in eventually. I sure don't know what other minimum deal they could safely accept. Paper agreements haven't secured them in the past against the Russians. Will Russians accept any military occupation? Do you think it is coincidence that Ukraine is pulling out of Kursk right now? Putin needs to be able to brag about a big win before he can settle anything and this may be it. "We drove them out of Russia and have reclaimed all Russian land that had been invaded". At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

More Russian propaganda. If you look at the war maps at Institute For The Study of War you will see it is not true. I also saw a propaganda piece where a Russian soldier has been told not to kill the retreating Ukrainians. I don't think anybody actually can believe that one. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

A cease fire in WW2 would have saved lives and given a couple countries to Germany. Germany deserved zero. Russia deserves zero. What kind of peace is that? Russia holds 20% of Ukraine.
