We really need to "double down" and increase our arming of Ukraine.

It's a proxy war we dare not lose.

Too bad the oaf can't see this, or more likely he doesn't care.

How is it a war we dare not lose? Before this war I didn't hear anybody talking about Ukraine. I am enjoying this war as entertainment so I hope it doesn't stop anytime soon. I do love what it is doing to the Russian economy.

If we were in Europe I would be more concerned but I really don't see how it will materially affect us if Russia takes all of Ukraine. I think it is apparent that the NATO countries in Europe are realizing that they need to start spending more on their militaries which is a good thing for the U.S.

Easy.

We've been the policeman of the world since WWII and allowing Putin to seize Ukraine, especially after we and Europe have opposed him, willl only fuel his ambitions to take more territory.

If the USA steps back then Germany, currently protected by our nuclear umbrella, will understandably develop nukes of their own, and hey...do you remember WWI and WWII?

Hello WWIII...

Trump has very good call with the Ukrainian midget, forcing the midget to take time off from playing the piano with his dick. Maybe he can go back to that when he's voted out of office after the war is over.

If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

How does us being the policemen have any bearing on the outcome of Ukraine. If we walk away and he takes Ukraine it will not materially affect us. If anything this war has showed us that Russia should not even be a military concern. Poland alone would defeat Russia in a war even if NATO didn't participate.

It will fuel Putin's ambitions to invade different, former countries that were once part of the USSR.

Don't you see that he wants to retake the countries that were once part of the USSR?

Some of them are NATO members.

Trump is giving up all soft power influence, and adversary states will fill that gap.

Yes, of course he does but how is that materially affecting us? If it gets to the point it is hindering us, then we should take action.

if I see a person slapping a child I will personally get involved.

Cowardice such as Trump is displaying causes our erstwhile allies to think less of us, and for good reason.

I agree with the Frenchman: yes, we should return the Statue of Liberty to France; they can melt it down and make more munitions for Ukraine.
