that's only because Americans choose not to apply for the type of jobs I listed
that's what explains your data
a great many Americans choose to be unemployed rather than to take very low level jobs
many Americans would rather be unemployed than clean bathrooms or clean old people in a nursing home or mow lawns for a company
because it's hurtful to their pride and dignity

Your opinion.

Not my data. Government data.

'Rather be unemployed'?

'More Americans are getting a second job to offset sting of high inflation'

That U-3 unemployment rate you posted includes discouraged workers who have given up searching for a job, and workers forced to work part-time, for as little as one hour per week.

Economists prefer the more reliable U-6 rate, which includes everyone not included in the U-3 unemployment rate. That rate is currently 7.1%.

Speaking of part-time jobs, the BLS Current Population Survey, of 60,000 households, shows that over the past twelve months, the number of full-time employed fell by 1,163,000, and the number of part-time workers employed increased by 1,511,000.

Lefty's crack me up when they're all screaming about the Supreme Court making new laws to get Trump out of trouble. The Supreme Court can't make law only Congress can do that. Supreme Court can't even enforce laws. All the Supreme Court does is clarify laws that are already on the books. Of course the president is immune that's why one has never been sued or put in jail. All the Supreme Court did was say it in no uncertain terms.

Pick any point and play with the graphs all you want. End result is Native Born lost 1.7 million jobs from their peak in 2019, while the foreign born gained 3.2 million jobs above their peak before Covid.

Jan 2021-May 2024

Although the Foreign Born are only 13.8 percent of the US population, they gained 5,578,000 of the jobs restored during that period and exceeded their 2020 peak by 3.2 million jobs.

The native born gained 7.38 million jobs since Jan 2021, but still ended down 1.275 million jobs from their 2020 peak.

Those 1.275 million jobs went to the foreign born.

Okay, using the same source, a fair comparison that does not penalize Biden for jobs lost under Trump and uses the same month of the year.

Total Native Born Employed Feb. 2021: 123,660,000
Total Native Born Employed Feb 2024 : 129,313,000

Total Gain in Employment Level of Native Born: 5,563,000

Total Foreign Born Employed Feb.. 2021: 25,862,000
Total Foreign Born Employed Feb. 2024: 31,002,000

Total Gain in Employment for Foreign Born: 5,140,000 jobs

Combined Employment Level

Employment Level Feb. 2021: 149,552,000
Employment Level Feb. 2024: 160,313,000

Total Gain in Employment Level: 10,763,000 jobs

October 2019 was arguably a time of full employment. It’s just a Republican talking point to use it as a reference point. The current employment picture is not perfect, but you may have noticed that the Fed is deliberately putting pressure on employment in an effort to bring down inflation.

Surrounded by Foreign born. These were good jobs.
That's what makes Amex profitable
Hiring the best.
Native born doesn't mean jack to a well run company.
Ability and talent is everything to a profitable company.
Looks like Tanko upset I made a whole career in the US and currently collecting social security
Foreign born and collecting social security

Nov.29, 2023.
Michelle Obama flew on Air Force One with Biden and the Clintons to attend Rosalynn Carter's funeral, without her husband.
Fueling speculation she may be planning to announce her Presidential campaign.

She has a better chance of winning in 2024 than Biden.

New Reuters/Ispos Poll shows Michelle Obama beating Trump by eleven percentage points. 50%-39%

You're leaving out the part where native born employed peaked at 132,254 million in July 2023. By Feb. 2024 they were down to 129,313 having lost 2,941,000 jobs.

The Fed is not putting pressure on employment. The Fed wants maximum employment. The Fed is managing the Fed Funds Rate to bring down inflation.

In any event, Native Born are steadily losing jobs, while the foreign born are steadily gaining jobs.

Pick a starting point two years into the Biden administration.

Native Born Employed July 2023: 132,254 million
Native Born Employed May 2024: 130,445 million
Native born lost 1,809,000 jobs between July 2023 and May 2024

Foreign Born Employed July 2023: 29,728 million
Foreign Born Employed May 2024: 30,896 million
Foreign Born gained 1,168,000 jobs between July 2023 and May 2024

Tanko, are you accounting for any demographic differences in your analysis, such as mean and median average age of US citizen versus foreign workers, or perhaps the percentage of citizens versus foreign born workers in each age group, or educational or vocational skills in citizens versus foreign workers?

well lower than the long term national average of 5.69%

such pathetic crapola

Donald Trump owes his former attorney Rudy Giuliani about $2 million in wages and has ignored multiple invoices from him seeking to get paid, the former New York City mayor said in his bankruptcy case.

He told investigators he has never been paid for his legal services to Trump, only getting reimbursement for his expenses, Newsweek reported. He’s asked for the $2 million “any number of times.”
