Next to impossible in NYC, where lawyers make it their business to have close connections on the Appellate Court, so their cases don’t get overturned. They join the same clubs, go to the same political fund raisers and play golf with the Appellate Judges.

Someone sued me years ago over a business deal. After one Judge decided in my favor, his attorney told my attorney and me “I have friends that I play golf with, who sit on the Appellate Court, and no matter what he decides, I will get them to overturn his decision”.

When we were alone, I asked my attorney if he could do that, and she said, “Yes”.

“Don’t mention that to the Judge. He will deny it and he will sue you.”

My attorney had her own connections. She called me and said, the Judge was giving both parties an entire day in his chambers to settle the case.

Both parties privately discussed their side with the Judge.

When the plaintiff came out, his attorney again started bragging about having friends on the Appellate Court who would overturn this Judge if he decided against his client.

The Judge then called my attorney and me back to his Chambers.

Smiling, “I think we have a settlement”

“No we don’t.” “He just told us he was going to have you overturned by his friends who sit on the Appellate Court”

“What?” “He can’t do that. This is my case”

“Well, that’s what he said”

My attorney nodded, “That’s true”. ”He said that your honor”

“Send them back in.”

Don’t know what the Judge told him, but he looked stunned when he came out, and I got everything I wanted.

Don't break certain laws in certain places. Ignorance of how the law works is not an excuse. If you spit on the street in some places you break the law there.

Thailand may whip the f*** out of you as punishment. NYC has it's own setup. So does Alabama and elsewhere.

The ones running around offended right now are cutting off their hair and all that stuff. I doubt anyone here is doing any of those things.

As a native Bay Stater, I am not offended and proud to be a "real" American.

Let me know when the people cutting their hair off and all that stuff riot to overturn the election.
