Well, I wasn't talking about just a verbal "come at me". How do you know if someone is going to beat you up, vs beat you to death? Or beat you to great injury vs minor injury?

I think that's why you get to shoot them under the law.

Btw, I don't know why duty to retreat was so bad. I never heard any actual cases or stats presented compared to "Stand your ground". Maybe I should look as I never have.

Hence my point, considering being in a vehicle "armed" means basically every driving violation should be a felony arrest if you follow that thought train to its logical extreme.

I heard he has some kind of trauma and mental health issues from being dragged by a vehicle. While I believe this, but then maybe he should not be back at work in the field with a gun? And, he definitely shouldn't be the agent assigned to stop vehicles. I am not a trained ICE commander who assigns roles, but this seems like common sense.

I don't think he should have shot. I would need to see the training document, most likely it is something to the effect "if a vehicle is an active threat use a firearm to stop the threat," is walking in front of a car slowly moving forward as it is already moving fall under this? I don't know, I'm still trying to form an opinion, because I have only seen clips.

Looks like this administration is going to defend two guys hanging onto a capsized boat in the ocean as a threat, so it's not hard to see why they wouldn't defend almost any action.
