| SOOPOO Member since: Feb 19, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 5726 | Spoke with my friend the (ex) cop. He is no cop defender as he says most of the cops he worked with were assholes. I asked him if he saw the videos, and what did he think. His first answer was spot on. He said from the views he has seen you cant come to an iron clad conclusion. He definitely feels that the CAR can be considered a lethal weapon, depending on how it s used. If you are in one and it is not moving, and you leave the vehicle when instructed to, then in that case you would not be subject to the actions consistent with using a lethal weapon. If you speed off without regard to who is in front of or adjacent to the vehicle, then the CAR can be considered a lethal weapon, and lethal force can be used against the car driver. He said hed never get in front of a car that has a driver he just stopped. He leans towards its bad police work, but cant answer if it rises to an inappropriate use of lethal force. His guess is no conviction, but no career in front of him, either. |

I looked to see what Ai had to say.
One thing I remember from a 7-11 shooting here in Florida, but it didn't involve a cop. When the guy pulled a gun to shoot after an assault the video showed the guy who assaulted him retreating back a bit. That was enough to show that the assaulter was retreating. The guy who shot him was convicted even though he had been assaulted moments before. But cops, get more leeway, I think. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

Watch the cops cell phone taping of the incident. Im not saying he couldnt have handled the situation better. But the driver had absolutely no regard for the cops life. Could be a video to show how not to respond to a cop giving you an order. |

We'll never know whether she even saw that agent. When your senses are overwhelmed concentrated on something specific, you can miss something right in front of you.

I would guess they are government cell phones. Recording or even photos of official stuff on personal cell phones is problematic when doing gov stuff. And, I would be shocked if ICE agents don't all get issued work cell phones given their job. |
