Oh.

Back to reality...

The way to determine who is responsible for the hospital strike in Gaza which killed 500 or so is to have a fairly neutral country such as France inspect the site and determine which type of explosive was used.

I'm no expert but I'd be willing to bet the farm that the explosives used by Israel have a different chemical signature than the ones supplied by Iran to Hamas.

Biden is heading to Israel; I assume he'll arrive via Air Force One.

Gotta suspect Hamas will try to shoot it down, most likely after he arrives and the location of the plane is known.

Why would they want to do that?

Biden could turn out to be The Mahdi.

"Since April 2021, the United States has provided over half a billion dollars in assistance for the Palestinians, including more than $417 million in humanitarian assistance for Palestinian refugees through UNRWA, $75 million in support through USAID, and $20.5 million in COVID and Gaza recovery assistance"

On top of that, Biden relaxed Trump's oil sanctions against Iran, and tripled their oil exports, so they have billions more to build their atomic bombs and fund Hamas and other terrorist organizations.

Because of his stated steadfast support for Israel; they can overlook the attempts to placate / bribe them into playing nice as this is now an emotional powder keg.

Intelligence failure may be putting it mildly

“Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state has to support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas,” Netanyahu told his Likud party’s Knesset members in March 2019. “This is part of our strategy" - Haaretz 2019

Netanyahu is on trial for bribery, fraud and breach of trust.

For the past 39 weeks, thousands of Israeli's have been protesting his proposed judicial reforms, that would undermine democracy and take way the power of the Supreme Court to cancel government decisions deemed 'extremely unreasonable'

'Critics say the reforms will shield Mr Netanyahu, who is currently on trial for alleged corruption (he denies the charges), and help the government pass laws without any brakes.'

'No, the Hamas Invasion Was Not an Israeli ‘Intelligence Failure’

'US intelligence warned of the potential for violence days before Hamas attack'

'An October 5 wire from the CIA warned generally of the increasing possibility of violence by Hamas. Then, on October 6, the day before the attack, US officials circulated reporting from Israel indicating unusual activity by Hamas — indications that are now clear: an attack was imminent.'

Honestly, I hate to say it, but I don't know that it matters. Every hostage is already essentially dead. And, honestly if I were a Hamas hostage, I think I would rather die in an Israeli explosion than the alternative.

I think a few hostages will be rescued. The U.S. has Seals and Delta on ground and offshore for a hostage rescue if they get good intel on where some Americans are being kept.

I agree with you, death by bomb sounds better than death by Mossad torture.

Would they torture a hostage, or simply shoot him / her in the head?

I'm certainly no expert on such things, but it seems to me that they'd save torture for "special cases," e.g. soldiers, collaborators and the like.

It will be interesting to see how hard the Palestinian protestors who stormed the rotunda in DC today are chased. It should be at least as hard as they pursued the Trump supporters. What about Rashida Tlaib urging them on. Censured and removed from office perhaps.

(they entered legally and went through security checkpoints)

Doesn’t compare to the Jan 6 insurrection. Sorry!

Then why are many being arrested?

Same as anywhere else. If security asks you to leave or move at some point and you don't, you break the law.
