Same as anywhere else. If security asks you to leave or move at some point and you don't, you break the law.

Yup! Not sure why this is so hard for the righties to comprehend.

Oh, it isn’t. They’re just desperate to make false equivalences to try to excuse their side’s violent criminal behavior.

In Washington, unless you're actually interrupting legislators or committing violence, law enforcement and courts prefer not to clog up their courts and justice system with protestors. Every peaceful protest even if it's breaking an ordinance is going to be given some time before resorting to arresting or dragging people off.

Too many Jan 6 protestors were doing both of those first two things.

A US destroyer in the Red Sea fired missiles to shoot down missiles fired by Houthis in Yemen.

Oddly, the story claims the missiles which were shot down were not aimed at the ship.

Huh?

I love it when we actually get to play with our expensive toys.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Nazi soldiers were provided with meth during WW2.

Captagon, an amphetamine related to meth was found in the pockets of dead Hamas terrorists.

--Arrest them immediately once they start to protest. Make the first time punishment for non-violent encounters an automatic fine like a traffic ticket with a scaling list of punishment from there.

--Never let a threat to the Capitol or the other Federal buildings get to the point that 1/6 did. Heed the warnings that intelligence provides. Call in the Guard as needed, Arrest them all and sort it out later.

Clogged courts? I don't care. Add an extra court. I don't blame anyone for 1/6 but the participants in 1/6.

If you consistently hold people accountable for illegal actions you discourage illegal actions by others. Make it uncomfortable violating the law.

I want peaceful protests tolerated at least to a certain extent. Even Jan 6 except the violence.

They used multiple laws and codes against every peaceful MLK protest, back in the day.

Few things more depressing in this world than the idea of paying for access to National Review.
