This is true, you only need to carry ID if you want to lead any kind of life in the United States except the homeless one. You need an ID to do simple things like get into Costco or pick up your prescription order or check in at the ER at a hospital or get a library card or buy booze anywhere. I'm 76 Walmart had to see my ID before I could buy a bottle of booze. The list of what you need an ID for is almost endless, but no if you're an absolute idiot and a moron you don't need to carry an ID at all times. Just don't try to do anything like cash a check, apply for a job, get a license plate for your car at the DMV, on and on and on. So if you're a cop and you run into somebody that claims they have no ID the alarms go off because it means you're either homeless or a crook. I had a curbside order at Home Depot last week and she had to see my ID. You are literally lost without one.

How is it you're not dumb enough to believe you have to do anything because other people say everyone needs to. That's certainly not a consistent rule with you.

No, you're not proving that one needs to always carry an ID. I walk around a lot without it lots of times. The last time I needed my iD was last year. It's July 2025. Over 6 months. I withdraw cash without it, pay bills without it, use credit cards without it. If I rode the bus, I would need it even less.

Actually we are. You and other lefties just get off trying to deny having and carrying ID is part of being an adult. We gave loads of examples you can go back and look at.

Of course there is none. Now. But that doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be one. I don’t see a problem with it. Law enforcement is already such a difficult job. Why not make it easier to identify those here illegally? Or those with outstanding warrants for their arrest?

What % of legal US citizens do not have ID that is necessary to use at a bank, a school, a DMV, a doctor’s office, a beer store, a casino, an accountant, an airport, a Welfare office, for Medicaid, for food stamps, etc…. ?? What is the big freaking deal?

It is possible my grandmother had none, she died in 1998. She never drove, she did not work after the 1930s. Pre-HIPPA she would not need it at the doctor's office. She went to bingo, the store, and church. But, lefties, notice the HIPPA thing. She was old and saw the doctor, so eventually she would have needed one.

I've even read of homeless who keep a safe deposit box so they can keep their ID up.

The same liberals here who laugh at "sovereign citizens" act like tough guys saying they do not carry ID because "there is no law."
