Years ago I took my naive first wife clubbing in Portland: she was a country girl and hadn't done that before.

It's up to a woman to decide whether or not to have a child or children, and given the way the world is heading I can't blame women (and men) for deciding to forego procreation: not only is raising kids "the right way" hideously expensive, it also introduces them into a world that's quickly going to hell in a handbasket.

My brother has two married sons, and both of them and their wives have decided not to have kids, and frankly I applaud their decision.

The elder son is a pilot for a major airline carrier, based in Europe: he and his wife travel extensively and kids would end that; the other sells boats in the summer and is a ski resort mgr. in the winter, and his wife works: they enjoy their freedom from parental responsibilties and especially having the "extra" money that would otherwise be needed to raise a family.

I frankly hope humanity fades away and a new species rises to the top of the heap: we've but nothing but screw the pooch for centuries, and it's only getting worse with Trump..

I would've said it impolitely...

If the GOP and everyone else was serious about increasing the birth rate and increasing the replacement rate, they would do 4 things:

(1) Paid maternity/paternity leave of at least 6 months
(2) More affordable childcare so mothers and fathers of young children can stay in the workforce
(3) More affordable eldercare so adult children aren't shouldering the cost of caring for their elderly parents/relatives
(4) Increased focus on better schools, so children have a quality education

I'd guess it's likely too late to do anything about American women eventually losing basic rights.

Too many folks are women-haters (abused by their parents?), so they want women to be lesbian, change sex, take birth control, murder their babies, intentionally not have children due to selfishness, etc.

Aka, "What is a Woman?".


It's only a matter of time American women lose their basic rights.

The reason is because most Muslims are law-abiding citizens and their population rates are positive.
