He's already been derailed, he's in the Caribbean enjoying one last freebie on the American taxpayer before he's never heard from again. He's never heard from now so it won't be much of a change. LOL

More blah blah blah. One thing we've learned is that when humans are presented with a problem they'll find a solution. I remember in the 1950s and '60s all the talk was that the world was going to starve to death from overpopulation. Nope, we now have more food then we know what to do with and even more people than we thought possible. We found the solution to food production.

When I was getting therapy last spring after my accident I got to talking to a guy in his 80s in the waiting room and he used to work for the Department of Agriculture at the University of Minnesota. He said that his specialty was hybrids of rice and corn and he has a doctorate in it. He said during the Depression the average bushels of corn per acre was 25. In the 1950s it was 40. Today because of hybrids the average in the United States is 160 bushels per acre. Under the right circumstances it's possible to get 600 bushels per acre. Some guy in Virginia set the record a couple years ago with 619 bushels per acre on his property. The same explosion is true for soybeans and rice and this is why the world is not starving to death like they predicted. And this is why if there's cluttering in space they will figure out a way to make it go away because we always find solutions if we try hard enough.

I remember hearing about space junk back in the 80s. There was even a trash bag commercial showing it.

the blizzard warning in effect for Louisiana etc is being called "first ever"

if you look for it, I'm sure you can find some activist somewhere saying it's due to climate change

You are correct, sir.

AI says:

"While the current polar outbreak is likely due to a combination of natural weather patterns and jet stream dynamics, some scientists believe climate change could be contributing to more frequent and intense polar vortex disruptions, potentially leading to more extreme cold events in mid-latitudes like the current outbreak, even as the overall global temperature rises; however, this remains an active area of research with no definitive conclusions yet."

Good job! I never doubted it!

all this fossil fuel use is going to lead to an ice age!

Another Ice Age has always been inevitable. We've had so many in the past why would they stop. We should wish for global warming because an Ice Age is truly destructive to human life.

Don't the weather manipulators know hurricane season is over? :)

It looks like they're (China?, e.g. Panama Canal foe) zapping the ions with a direct energy weapon, making it look like nature is doing it.

Could be a demonstration for Trump to stay away from the Panama Canal.

We are still in the Holocene, another interglacial period of many interglacial periods ... in other words: we are in an interglacial period of an Ice Age. An Ice Age that will continue to have glacial periods.

Do some scientists think that fossil fuel use will cause the Quaternary Ice Age, which we are in, to end? I think most would tell you that they think that the current heavy usage of fossil fuels will cause a peak of warm temperatures in the Holocene that we, also, are in, and that is about all there is to say about it.

This doesn't say that we won't have to deal with the consequences, worst case scenario being ocean rise, more wildfires, etc., but it is pretty dubious theory to think the Earth won't pretty much continue on the same path. This is also of no matter beyond curiosity, because the time scale is so far beyond the length of a human life. The Holocene started about 12,000 years ago

Trump tells all federal DEI offices and programs to close up shop by end of business today!

The man is going at light speed. As the left wing goes ballistic over this he will be doing some other great improvement set for tomorrow.

People working them are being put on paid leave, hopefully that is only very short term as in the real world when your office closes you go file for UC.
