The technology can be weaponized, and the implications for democracy are ominous: what happens when a politician is accused of saying something horribly offensive and voters have to figure out which audio clips are real and which are fake?

We're doomed.

Have to wonder how much data they need to get how close. A few short conversations probably would not do it. In this case sounds like the thieves had inside info and the company had poor controls.

On the subject of the later, could cause problems. Make faked memes look like nothing.

Anyone can get accused of anything. The accusation of Kavenaugh was the biggest joke of our time.

I will not be running in 2020 either, does that make me liberal or conservative? I was just about going to have some coffee but perhaps all I need to do is stare at the label instead.
