1200 a day for 2 months and you'll lose 45 pounds. Do it or don't, 200 a day will kill you at your age. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Chiming in as have others. 200/day will kill a person. Your system will shut down, and in the end you will burn even fewer calories. Anything I have read says <800 is very dangerous. The President is a fink. |

Correct and corrected. <1600 will probably put you on the road to malnourishment long term, but I do not think it would be "dangerous" in the way <800 would be. <800 is getting to starvation level. Like you said, body starts shutting down. Then when you do eat more regular there is a danger because your stomach is in a sort of "sleep mode." The President is a fink. |

odiousgambit Member since: Oct 28, 2012 Threads: 154 Posts: 5109 | The nazis are accused of setting the number of calories in meals at just below what was needed to live for their slave labor in order to work them and also kill them. It seems one of the ways it worked well is it kept the prisoners from rioting due to the hope that things would turn around, and the slow realization it was not enough. In a google search below, 1300 calories per day is often cited. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extermination_through_labour https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-ab&ei=IHIGXMn3J4aJjwTylpPIDQ&q=concentration+camp+calories&oq=concentration+camp+diet&gs_l=psy-ab.1.0.0i71l8.0.0..19050...0.0..0.0.0.......0......gws-wiz.DLlxJjnPs_E I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

Fleastiff Member since: Oct 27, 2012 Threads: 62 Posts: 7831 | I live in the county poorhouse under a city funded program. Not much chance of a riot here. Everyone is either Old Geezer or Mental Case. Many are both. Some drug use and spousal abuse goes on but that is about all. I'm running low on milk so today is likely to be a grocery store day and with my lack of impulse control I'll probably come back with some perishables and so will eat more over the next few days. Had cerealand milk today. Don't know if its hot out or not... for some reason my screen started reporting the temperatures only on the Kelvin scaleThs computer is pos. |
