Let me correct this to be more clear.

It Milk certainly isn't pure sugar.

Nothing is pure sugar except sugar.
Milk is pure sugar to me. I don't eat sugar, haven't since 1973.

Probably a good idea. Although macrophages fight infection with the aid of sugar.

I've reconsidered my dairy intake and I've found out that excess dairy intake is a contributing factor to one of my many maladies.

I'm open to alternative breakfast selections but sardines and anchovies are out of the running.

.

One? Probably a lot more than one. Have
hard boiled eggs and a piece of whole wheat
toast for breakfast. Something I've been doing
for 20 years in intermittent fasting. I eat when
I get up, I eat again for dinner about 6 hours
later, and eat nothing for the next 18 hours.

After dinner you should never eat anyway,
snacking is what makes people fat.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

People get fat due to the interplay of ghrelin and leptin, the pathogens in their gut, the leakiness of their gut, the interplay of the skin-endocrine system, the presence of incidentelomas (often found at autopsy because doctors think pheochromocytomas are so rare as to be non-existent).
Many people eat to satisfy the pathogens in their gut and their brains.

People get fat due to

Due to the fact they take in way
more calories than they burn.
No diet in the world will work if
you eat 3000 calories a day and burn
2500. I don't care it you're eating
steak or seaweed, you will get fat.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
