These things always sound good, but are
tedious as hell to actually play because
people are so undependable. They go
away for days and leave people hanging.

I'd be up for playing but am taking a post-Christmas vacation to Quebec in a few days and I don't think I will be able to check very often.

Sometimes a game goes quickly, perhaps you can play in a different round, glad to hear you are interested.

I meant to mention the rules are in a blog post, anyone who needs to familiarize themselves again with them should take a look.

As for the rusty or 'never played', I've thought about it, and I think I should just give this piece of strategy openly and otherwise clam up. As mentioned, anyone who just sticks to "process of elimination" probably will get to the solution too slowly. Make sure you understand subtle strategy suggestions in the rulebook.

The game comes with notepads, but you can easily make your own notes. You want to be able to check off weapons, rooms, and suspects as they get eliminated and also as "possibles" and who revealed what to you.

I'm still hesitantly in the no column. However, I would like to volunteer as the officiator, assuming it entails distributing the cards and confirming/denying any accusations only.

I've never played Clue before. I'll play if you need another player.

No for me for sure. These things NEVER EVER
go as planned. The net is not real life people,
live with it.

You're in. And there is still room for more.

You may prove to be right, however, you have not seen the rules variation.
