They are so desperate for drivers that if you're 80, have a CDL, and can pass the physical, your're hired for $70,000 a year. There are so many jobs now, few want to be gone from home 21 days out of the month. They are even hiring those with minor criminal records that were unhireable a few years ago. Some trucking co's are footing the $4000 truck driving school bill if you sign a contract to drive for a year with them. The industry has a 95% job overturn rate, mainly drivers switching companies or quitting after a year. My brother did it for years and made a ton of money, but hated it. Now he's a yard switcher and is home every night. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

He moves trucks around on the same property from building to building. It pays almost as well as on the road. It involves backing up big rigs into place and it has to be precise. Many semi drivers can't back up at all, believe it or not. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I can believe it. I tried that gig and could not do it. It is like watching people at the boat ramp, just on a much larger scale. You can do well in driving, though key is get in young and get endorsements. Meanwhile as Trump keeps MAGA, the haters now have a SCOTUS fight and a shooting to take their minds off the kids the never really cared about but insisted was the end of the world last week. The President is a fink. |

At the big Mackinaw Bridge up north, there are big rig drivers to terrified to drive across. So there is always a surrogate driver on duty to drive the rig across for a fee. Happens every day. If you've ever been on the bridge, the roadbed is steel mesh so the wind can blow thru it. You can see the blue water hundreds of feet below you. Drivers have been known to have panic attacks halfway across and have an accident, or just stop completely, frozen in panic. Lots of motels and all the truck stops are set up so you never have to back up. It would be chaos, so many just cannot do it. If you take a risk, you may lose. This information has been available to the American public, and they voted him in. So, no, he should not resign. If the congresswoman was an orgy goer, and the American public decides it is not relevant, then she can win another elected office. I do not consider her sexual dalliances any reason for her to resign her present position. |
