No I didn't mean that. You would ban people unless the comment had already been okayed by the insultee before you even saw it for the first time. Any comment without that would just be business as usual. So, no extra work. If it's followed immediately by such disclaimer you can just ignore it You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

Hey, you're the one going to hades, I don't believe in any of that junk. I said I wasn't insulted, I feel no guilt. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Then people would get bullied into approving insults. WoV started nine years ago and this forum has pretty much the same rules. I'm not about to make any huge changes until I have a compelling reason to. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

I said "purgatory," but who knows what will happen to any of us. I still don't understand the difference between hell, hades, purgatory, and limbo. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

You already know. My dad is gone and so is yours. Do you spend even 1 second a day wondering where he is or if he's OK? Ever know a wife in agony because she just knows her late husband is in hell? Nope. We know what happens, it's instinctual and we don't think or really worry about it. Religious leaders use scaring us for leverage, threaten us with punishment so they can have power. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

My Mom and Dad have both passed and I can't agree with all of your post EB. The family spread their ashes at a family summer place that my parents originally purchased 60 years ago. The place is relatively remote (how remote you ask, the 2 seater outhouse has no door and overlooks the lake) and we put small plaques on one of the large fir trees commemorating them, and my nephew built a bench there. I always sit on the bench and talk to them when I am in at the lake. I am not religious and don't believe in heaven any organized religions God. I do find it a very comforting way to remember my parents and I still ask their advice at times. Surely you spend quiet times remembering your father EB. But that has nothing to do with wringing my hands with worry over where he might be now. We know by instinct that everything is as it should be. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

How would I know? To answer your question -- no. From my perspective there is very little evidence as to the answers to the big questions like is there a god and what happens after you die. Until there is, I'll just live my life and let the mystery be. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |
