I don't know about Fla., but here:

"Masks are no longer required in crowded outdoor settings. However, masks are strongly recommended for higher risk people or when in a crowded area for an extended period of time."

So not required, but recommended.

You think sitting at a table on an outdoor patio is a crowded area?

Nah.

People just love to lose their minds over her every move.

Can't tell how close the next table over is.

Whatever, it is not the image the left needs to project.

You are right...who cares? Just the same as the guy in Miami wondering where the Gov was. Much ado about nothing. Did he give him the courtesy of a call to see what the Gov was doing or where he was during the time in question?

AOC was born on October 13, 1989. She will be age 35 a few weeks before the Presidential election on Nov 5, 2024. She can run for POTUS!

I can see her trying to move a few rungs on the ladder of power, but don't think she would entertain a presidential run even if it became an open field for the Democrats. At least in 24.

I was actually making a joke. She is far too incendiary to run for POTUS. I doubt very much that she will ever be a NY Senator or NYC mayor.

As Nancy Pelosi pointed out, a "glass of water" could win the 14th NY congressional district race if it was on the Democratic ticket, but AOC actually managed to decrease her voter percentage by 6.4% from her initial win in 2018, although the turnout was much greater in the year they elect the POTUS.

2018 election: 78.2%D | 13.6%R | 6.6%Joe Crowley - 110,318
2020 election: 71.6%D | 27.4%R - 152,661

Even though certain states seem absolutely certain to vote Democratic, the Republican candidate does not vanish. A controversial candidate could lose even states behind the blue wall. In 1988 Michael Dukakis lost to George H. Bush in California.

Trump/Pence % of vote 2020
  1. 5.40% D.C.
  2. 30.67% Vt.
  3. 32.14% Mass.
  4. 32.15% Md.
  5. 34.27% Hawaii
  6. 34.32% Calif.
  7. 37.75% N.Y.

I really think party affiliation should be removed from the ballot.

Why? That is the most people know about the majority of candidates (especially local and state). If you remove the party affiliation, you would just be clicking random names. Many (probably most) just go down the party line on the ballot, taking this away could be dangerous to voter knowledge.
