The Corona brand of Mexican pale lager beer dates from 1925. The word coronavirus was coined in 1969 for the spikes that protrude from its membranes and resemble the tines of a crown or the corona of the sun.

People diss it, it seems, but when I drank it down in Texas decades ago it was quite refreshing. Served nearly frozen in a long neck bottle with a lime stuck in it and salt.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Load it with a shot of tequila along with the lime and salt and is very drinkable.

Y'all sure that white powdery substance served in Texas was only salt?

Irrespective of its quality or the pallets of consumers, it shows how people react to headlines in strange ways.

It's 4am and I'm sure I just heard
a corpse wagon go by, picking up
the bodies from the pandemic.
Mass graves for them..

So ridiculous is all this scare tactic
nonsense..
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

It seems unlikely that COVID-19 will enter the history books of one of the world's great pandemics, but its economic impact could be huge.

Modern pandemic in last 160 years
1. 300,000,000 approx. Smallpox Worldwide 1900 to eradication (May 8, 1980). Estimated 6 billion from smallpox (50,000 BC and 1900)
2. 200,000,000 Measles Worldwide last 150 years (as of 2010)
3. 80,000,000–250,000,000 Malaria Worldwide 20th century – 2014
4. 50,000,000–100,000,000 Flu Worldwide 1918–1920
5. 40,000,000–100,000,000 Tuberculosis Worldwide 20th century – present
6. 30,000,000 AIDS pandemic Worldwide 1960–2012
7. 12,000,000 Third Pandemic of Bubonic Plague Worldwide 1855–1960

Historical pandemics
100,000,000 approx. Black Death Worldwide 1331–1820
40,000,000–100,000,000 Plague of Justinian Asia, Europe, Africa 540–590

So far, the virus that has killed less than twenty Americans, has wiped out at least five trillion in wealth, and is on the verge of causing a global recession.

Exactly what the dems needed before the election. Either that, or something far more sinister.

Just in time:

Dow over 29,000 on on its way to 30,000.

Job numbers reaching new highs every month.

Unemployment at fifty year low.

Leading Economic Indicators up again in the latest report.

273,000 jobs created in February.

December jobs numbers revised up by another 37,000

January jobs revised up by another 48,000.

Can’t have very many confirmed cases if you drastically limit the number of tests being performed!

Some Dems rooting against the economy.

Some Dems rooting for the virus.

Some Dems, though, are beginning to understand that wholesale panic is the wrong answer because it is their money being wiped out, too. It will be their jobs in peril if the economy falls, not just those of the horrible Republicans. Musicians I know wondering if the hype will kill their business, some of whom rely on tips to supplement low-paying gigs. These are professionals, performing for a living, who have toured with national acts and work in cities trying to earn a living.

The facts don't support the panic. The facts support vigilance, expanding testing (has has been done), science, and learning as much about the virus as we can. The facts support greater care by certain risk groups...some that need to be vigilant about viruses all the time, not just now.

The risks should not be understated, but they also should not be over hyped.
