Looking at news articles like this one

"Deaths in Colorado rose 20% during first 6 months of pandemic, reflecting COVID-19’s broader toll on health
COVID-19 is now state’s fourth leading cause of death, but fatalities caused by ODs, heart disease and more also rose"
https://www.denverpost.com/2020/10/11/colorado-covid-death-toll/

There are several different interpretations of that data. I think we can both agree that those that already had compromised health could die sooner if they caught covid. Will that cause only a short term spike in the deaths? Overdose deaths are up which could tie into mental health. The article mentions what a large stress factor isolation is. How many deaths caused by this increased stress? Are the stress deaths Covid the disease or Covid because of lockdowns/isolation. It has already been mentioned on the forum before but lockdowns cause large social problems beside the economic problems. How do we set the proper point for restrictions? The only thing we can probably agree on is that you and I have different comfort levels on where that point should be but as always it is not black and white.

I'm fine with no lockdown
but
Masks, social distancing, no crowds and remote learning
You can still get out. You've always been able to get out. One of my favorite activities, riding my bike around the neighborhood. Virus never changed that

Saw a hilarious compilation of MSM
outtakes from when Trump was at
Walter Reed. They had him dead
and buried all weekend and even
after he was released. They didn't
really shut up till he did the rally
yesterday and was dancing to
YMCA. Does that look like
somebody who's losing? Biden
gets exhausted just watching
Trump.

Shouldn't the conservatives be upset that he is dancing to a Village People song? Rumor is that they are not heterosexuals.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.

Tell that to the seniors that can't see their families and vice versa.

That just proves that you bought the libbie nonsense lol

Conservatives are extremely tolerant and love everybody. We just think it's idiotic when libbies want to redefine commonplace words like "man, "woman", and "marriage". That's insanity man...

The CDC is reporting that 85% of
people who get covid say they
wear masks all or most of the
time. And they still got it. Masks
are only useful if you are contagious.
Otherwise their almost useless.

Many if not most of the long term care seniors homes are still locked down. No family members in, no residents going out. Many elderly died without the families being able to even see them one last time because of Covid lockdowns. The kicker is that then they can't even have much of a funeral since the rules limit the number of people that can gather in one place. This is another whole layer of stress on top of one of the most stressful things you go through, the death of a parent.

Its a business
Who am to say how somebody runs their business
Maybe the answer is competition
one home advertises that they have developed safe protocols regarding visitors
Think out of the box
Have some vision
