LOL!!!! You missed the ENTIRE POINT of the post! Governor Cuomo did not allow ANY nursing homes to have visitors. They can advertise they have safe protocols and then go directly to jail! The Governor is NOT ALLOWING competition! he is allowing you to follow his executive orders! I'm expecting a +1000 from my buddy Shrek! |

????????? Hello. I'm in New Mexico. I'm referring to nursing homes in the United States I dont live in NY When I discuss an issue, why do you assume I am discussing tiny NY which I have not visited in decades. Weird This is a national and international issue with nursing homes. I'm travelling the country. I like discussing the country or areas I've visited. Stop thinking small NY. It's a big country. NY just one of 50 When I am discussing issues, I am referring to the country and the planet, not your tiny local area I'm in New Mexico. Its absurd of you to think I was referring to Cuomo. What is it with your hate for Cuomo? Every time we discuss Desantis and FL, you try to change the subject with Cuomo hatred. Why???????? The point Ed, that you conveniently ignore, is that in most of the USA, not just ‘tiny NY’, businesses are throttled by government intervention. Of course way more so by Democrat Governors. You can argue that it is necessary for public health. But you can’t cogently argue that it doesn’t exist. |

And only if rigorous conditions are met. Before that it was 100% lockdown. It's the same here in Florida, and probably the vast majority of the country. Long term care facilities were 100% locked down due to the Governor's mandate. My mother-in-law was in one since before the pandemic. Neither my wife nor father-in-law was allowed to visit her since February. It was very heartbreaking for all of us but especially them. She passed away last month, but for her last few days, she was transferred to Hospice care. The silver lining was that we could all visit her in the Hospice facility, so at least we had a chance to say goodbye. There are many, many families that did not have that luxury. |

My wife's 94 year old mom is locked in a nursing home. They haven't seen here in months. They can only Skype. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
